I’m a fairly methodical, budget conscious man with peculiar tastes. I find exactly what I would like to own via online shops like MoMA, SFMoMA, Alessi, Design Within Reach. Then, I set eBay alerts with price thresholds determined via scraping sold items, averaging, subtracting 25%. When a golden goose pops up, I am alerted and I can decide whether or not to buy it.
If you gotta own things (I gotta), you might as well own things that make you smile.
Bonus pro tip is to use google lens to find products in movies or when you’re out and about. That’s how I found this beautiful banana banana holder.

Spiritual objects are everywhere! You can treasure hunt without even buying anything. You can notice what you’re drawn to and ponder why. Less destructive screen time?

my boyfriend and I kept this grocery list that we found dropped at a store once, don’t know who it belongs to but we always come back to it for a good laugh. fun to think about what kind of person was buying these things, slightly voyeuristic into their shopping habits

I’ve spent years coming to terms with my relationship to shopping and how that impacts my life, my finances, my relationship to self. I’ve done no-spend months and saved up for items, but by far my favorite tactic to curbing my spending is delayed gratification. Anytime I see something I want, I add it to my digital wishlist. The beauty is, the act of putting the item on the list keeps the idea of it alive and satisfies this tiny urge to spend money. Even better, the list acts as a little magic tool of manifestation. I have periodically been gifted things off of my list and regularly find items on the list second hand!

There is no option to contact search like on most socials… would be neat to see which of your friends have accounts.
Also it would be cool to see users by location, especially for those who live in smaller cities.
Related side note— if you’re in Richmond, VA hit me up! Moving there next week and I know zero peeps 😎
