I forgot how great it is to be a woman pursuing another woman. I just left a marvelous date with a beautiful woman where we spent nearly the entire day together. We went thrifting, then to a movie, and then walked around the park. After a long streak of only dating men, I leave this date anew. A lady-lover once more! (and I could not be happier about that.)

i guess it's super cliche but i really felt better after i went on a date. i made it clear that i wanted to keep it casual and actually had a nice time. it's refreshing to feel someone interested in you, kind of brings things into perspective.

Though some people might find this kind of depressing I actually see it as the opposite. Itโ€™s really been a while since Iโ€™ve done this but I see it necessary to go on a date with yourself once in a while. Go to a cafe, take a walk without any destination in mind, or you might as well go to the cinema on your own.
More than an act of self love I perceive it as a way to embrace solitude and get to know yourself more; It brings so much inner peace and helps to heal that part of yourself that finds loneliness daunting. There is a beauty in everything and solitude is not the exception.

I like how he can pretty seamlessly jump from making stupid silly videos, to genuine critiques on the happenings of the world around us. He has a good balance of light-heartedness while not sugar coating his words that I look for in a person.

Throughout my past relationships Iโ€™ve noticed a pattern where I tend to lose myself. Whether it be to โ€œfitโ€ my partner better or simply just neglecting the things that make me, me, for a period whilst in a relationship. In my time sharing this experience with others, Iโ€™ve found that many often relate. I believe that the best thing you can do after a breakup is to become fully in touch with yourself again. My personal outlet happens to be writing, putting all those feelings down pen to paper has been one of the most cathartic things I can do after a breakup. Whether Iโ€™m spinning those words into a poem, a story or just a garbled mess of words on a page, Iโ€™ve found it really helps. So really, whatever your creative outlet is, dive deeper into that and it will almost always ease the pain.
