Watercolour selfportraits

I mostly do selfportraits with watercolours inherited from my mum and greatgrandma. I find that it helps me process and communicate emotions + it's easy to get reference pictures. (i also draw other people, like lovers and friends, sometimes)

CRISPY SOY GLAZED TOFU W VEGGIE NOODLES

Always a good comfort meal! The tofu is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside once I’ve pan fried it. I like to use tofu that’s been frozen to perfectly remove moisture + the flavor seeps through much better.
For the noodles, I use Trader Joe’s squiggly knife cut noodles but add to the sesame based sauce with peanut butter, etc.

SUNDAY SMOOTHIES

Local family owned coffee shops are the best and we’ve made it our Sunday morning tradition. This one’s drinks menu rotates monthly and they have seasonal specials with fun names.
I got the July beach bum smoothie with pina colada, margarita and a milk base. The spinach and feta pie was 10/10 too.

LIMINAL SPACE: AUTO REFRACTOR IMAGES

Do you remember these?
Watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwIfQd3RRYs) about the origins of auto refractor images at the optometrist. Random but super fascinating and a beautiful example of liminal spaces! The balloon is my favorite.
Also pretty cool that the barn image is based off a real place called Manchester Farm in Kentucky. You learn something new everyday ✨
