i first saw the quote below years ago and have been wanting to read the book ever since and it has not disapointed
would highly rec if you want to read essays about art that are grounded, critical and accessible

This early 2000s book takes you from Munich to Berlin London to new York on a wild fashion adventure that opens new avenues of thinking and inspiration! I found the boundary breaking art in this book so captivating! Also lots of pictures!!!

Recommended to me by a favorite professor in college – I was able to track down a library copy that I clung to for months at the time. Not easy to purchase, I recently found my own copy at a used book store and was wowed once again by the enthusiasm design can hold. ANTI REC: BEING PERCEIVED INCORRECTLY

today someone told me something about myself and they were just so completely off base that i started questioning my tone and facial expressions bc that was in no way the vibe i was going for
a related anti rec: people who meet you once and assume that they know everything about you (which they obviously don’t)
