my korean grandparents believed in relieving pain through pressure points in the feet. you gotta build up a tolerance and go on gradually longer and longer walks but once you're in the habit it feels so good. this rec does not apply if you live in fuckin new york city or something.

Growing up in a Russian household, you become acquainted with the ritual of evening walks after dinner. Beyond its obvious health benefits, thereโ€™s a spiritual dimension to the act itselfโ€” believe it or not, with my headphones on and my sneakers laced up Iโ€™m a biomechanical contemplation machine. A heightened awareness of the landscape and my place in it overcomes me, I might occasionally notice great and strange things. The more aimless the walk is, the better. Getting your steps in is good, but not everything in life needs to be about self-improvement. I find that the longer my walks are, the weirder and more hypnotic they become. The gratitude I feel when I finally return home is really a nice feeling too. For a walking shoe, I recommend Mephistos which feel like gliding on air. Happy trails.

hear me out. be safe out there - obviously no raw dogging it if there is likely to be glass lying around.
however if there is no danger - walk to the local park in barefeet! wear your pyjama shorts! we live in this world and we ought to act like it. also it is fun and really grounding.

Fresh air feels so nice, and add good company and you wonโ€™t even notice how far you walk
