I Did it for like 20 mins a day for a week and started the substack I’ve been meaning to start for over a year. I now have a place to consistently write (which I desperately needed) and you know what? No one but me thought that was cringe! People read it and subscribed! You have more people supporting even your dumbest ideas so just try!

I finally locked in and made a substacked (only knew about Substack because of pi.fyi so… thanks!)
I’m not the best writer so it’s really intimidating getting onto a platform that’s word heavy… also digitally anxious (being perceived digitally is tough) but I finally decided to just go to help with it and honestly I can’t wait to write more just for fun.
I would like to see more people use it like it’s Wordpress or a diary! And if anyone has any substacked recs please let me know. It’s exciting or maybe it’s the dopamine rush. 🪽🦴🍸💭

A Substack by yours truly.
Becoming a writer was my childhood dream. Then I grew up and convinced myself that I wasn't good enough, talentless even. After a traumatizing stint in the corporate world, I've decided to chase that childhood dream again. But I know myself well enough to know that I'll just give up if others don't know I'm working on it. So that's what this Substack is for: Public accountability. Every Saturday I'll post an update on the things I've done to make my dream come true. From now on, it's me and my childhood dream against the world.

reading a new friends substack and resonating so hard with her post about working to overcome her social anxiety, introversion, and shame to become more comfortable and outgoing. not only did this inspire me that i need to pick up my own substack again, but also that becoming less of a weirdo in social settings is possible for me too 🤞🏼

I was going through the Ignatian approach to education today (adapted from the Spiritual Exercises for those keeping track at home) and this tenet is just so good. St. Ignatius says that a person, “ought to be more eager to put a good interpretation on a neighbor’s statement than to condemn it.Further, if one cannot interpret it favorably, one should ask how the other means it. If the meaning is wrong, one should correct the person with love; if this is not enough, one should search out every  appropriate means through which, by understanding the statement in a good way, it may be saved.” This is very Hanlon’s razor (never attribute to malice what you can attribute to stupidity/ignorance) and I just feel like having a curious posture like this is a major slay and makes us better people

Like look at this shit. Just kinda sick tbh. The Eastern church invented maximalism which is just very slay for them (even if you aren't into God or whatever I feel like you can enjoy old buildings with tons of art everywhere)
