i got my first national parks passport stamp and did the junior ranger program which was very wholesome. and saw tons of cool birds! and free-range horses too omg anyway, i just posted my film from the trip if you wanna see at the link :)
About 30 mins outside the city, easy hiking/walking and such a contrast (or a nice break) from the flash of Vegas. Got to see some ancient handprints in the rocks & wild burros strolling around
it felt small at the time bc it was just an overnight backpacking trip, but I ended up falling into quicksand and that makes it feel big. plus it was my partners birthday and nothing says happy birthday like can you save my life real quick ...lol (pic taken before we went into the canyon)
