About 30 mins outside the city, easy hiking/walking and such a contrast (or a nice break) from the flash of Vegas. Got to see some ancient handprints in the rocks & wild burros strolling around
It’s a huge, beautifulllll conservation area with towering red/tan mountains just on the outskirts of the city with lots of hikes to choose from! They can range from a couple hours long to all day affairs. There’s one main road that loops through the entire park that's definitely worth driving around if hiking isn’t the vibe. You could also stop and stare at some of the rock climbers for a bit. Overall it’s very pretty and I highly highly rec.
Separately there’s also some hot springs in Arizona near the Hoover dam that are nestled into a slot canyon.
Sometimes we forget how beautiful the world is until we go out and find the beauty. Recently visited Monument Valley, and wow. It is insane on how differently perceived it is from a screen, as to how it truly is in person. Recommend it!🤙
Went to Mesa Verde today, and saw the beautiful Pueblo architecture from 550 A.D.. Came home and edited these guys a fair bit. Way more shocking in person. Recommend this place for sure!
so you can hear the mail lady crash out on a speakerphone call. “You dumb motherfucker, that’s NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT!!!” Pulled off the mail truck mad as hell too.
