real ones know just changing your vocabulary can rlly help u change ur mindset. instead of telling yourself you SHOULD be doing these things, say that you WANT to do them. it makes me feel less like ive made a personal failure by not doing them and more like i’m working towards a goal

if your desire to improve yourself is coming from a place of shame or negativity towards yourself, whatever you try and change isn’t going to last. this is coming from experience.
i tried and failed for years to change my health habits because I felt like I should lose weight or should be more fit. it wasn’t until I changed my intentions and language around it that things finally stuck. I wanted to feel stronger, to feel more energetic Rather than feeling like I should look or behave in a certain way. for change to be lasting and positive, it has to come from a place of positivity and self love or empowerment. it has to be because you want to do it.
if you feel like you ”should” change rather than feeling like you “want” to change, that seems like a good place to stress test your intention. good luck! I believe in you!

I ought to set myself goals. I've been feeling so fleeting, like I have a lack of control, I'm just being pulled in whichever way life pulls me. I find myself doing things because thats what I'm supposed to do, that's what would align best with the idea I have of what life should be.
So today I was telling my boyfriend this, and he shared that I should set myself goals. That way, I'll feel a greater sense of ownership of what I do. I already do a lot of things, but now when I do something, it will be because it will help bring me closer to the goal I decided to achieve.
As a result I know I'll feel greater satisfaction with myself, because I am living consciously. Like I DID THAT!!! I KNEW I COULD DO THAT!!!
Is this what it means to reach a higher consciousness?
Heres to being present in our lives 🥂✨

this just came back to me after a while. it used to be on repeat in my head like a mantra, even to an unhealthy degree, but i forgot how powerful it can be in moderation.
it’s so simple, so obvious, of course, but there’s a difference between knowing and understanding it. feeling it click is so freeing and like a revelation.
but it feels good to know that you are entirely within your own control (exceptions exist but for the most part) and you can make yourself whatever you want to be. nothing can get inside your head or take your body away from you. there‘s definitely a negative side too, but it feels good to know that.

i know its mind blowing. but we need to accept the complexities of life. you can not think in a binary yes or no black and white fashion. you will never find perfection, things can be super awesome and also suck a bit. someone can make you insanely happy and also sad. you can hurt someone and they can hurt you too. when you learn to sit in the discomfort of the inbetween you can actually look at the issues that surround you and all their layers and nuances and perhaps.. even begin to work through them. sometimes you're over something yet it stings u every day. many contradictory things can be true at once!!!
