im not really feeling the pop music energy this summer, so i threw together some “alternative” songs that give me angsty vibes but we’re still dancing to them. Like, we might be upset sometimes — but only as upset as one can be whilst under the summer sun and eating lavender french vanilla ice cream

my best friend since 4th grade and i just took a trip to san diego. we met some people at music festival and we all talked over the weekend and got along and got to know each other. i learned that im an indirect person. i thought about how many times someone asked me if i wanted something and i said “either way” or “whatever is easiest” — so many of those times i had a yes/no answer that i held back. And for what? you can’t get what you want if you always leave it up to others to decipher what that is or to decide for you. im working on being more honest with myself and the people around me, and of course still trying to be thoughtful and considerate in the process
