There may be a compelling argument to be made that jazz is correctly rated because being into it seems to automatically make a person insufferable (this is a self-drag ok). But I love that jazz today seems to be as experimental and radical and challenging as when it was first pioneered. It is America’s most American genre of music, among its greatest contributions to global culture, and a monument to American vision and talent.
