A good question that you need to ask sometimes. I’m trying to use it more myself

my first wondering — when you talk about feeling guilty over good things happening — is why is that? What is driving that guilt? And also, is it really guilt or something else? Like, fear that it is going to be yanked away or that it’s all a facade?

I feel like when things go wrong in our lives it’s easy to blame the world for our issues and very few times do we take the time to reflect on ourselves and check if we are the ones making mistakes. Having flaws is natural but one must take responsibility for their action. Do a little self check and improve yourself constantly! (Be careful not to blame yourself for everything though)

I notice it the most when people receive good things from other people. I think it's an offense, not only to yourself, but to the people who care about you as well. They have a nice image of you in their head. By saying you don't deserve it, etc., you undermine your own image and you question their perspective on you. Why wouldn't you trust them? If somebody decided to spend their money on you on a night out with nothing in exchange but company, wouldn't that be nice? The thought that you went out that day and that was enough justification for someone to deem you worthy of a nice meal. You were you and that's all it mattered. Some may think it's narcissistic to think this way, or some may think I'm attaching the value people have of themselves to other people. I think it's about finding a balance. The value in the every day, hence the people surrounding you. Then again, if their heads went straight to these negative thoughts, they're probably self-deprecating themselves. Why would I trust that? Give yourself the grace you deserve by honoring the people who love you most.

Ok stay with me here. Too much public filming. This is going to discourage good weird public activity. We need people being weird in public. Odd dancing, carrying around insane items, freaked out fits, etc. Instead of a quick vid to show your friends, or, god forbid, *get internet clout*, people should be sketching the scene and describing it in colorful language. Now you have to take accountability for your opinion on the matter, your draftsmanship and writing gets better, and the public freaks have plausible deniability in the job interview. This goes for drunk man on the street tik tok videos as well. Put on a newsboy cap and start jotting. There should be exceptions like intentional performances or heinous crimes of course. I’m open to other exceptions I just can’t think of any rn. This will never be a reality but i can try
