They’re not ’vintage’ or ‘thrift’ stores per se. But Dunlaoghaire and Bray have a lot of second hand charity shops. If you’re crafty and creative you might be able to get some outfits together. And they’re both seaside towns with some nice restaurants.

Or I guess thrift if you’re American? charity shopping is about being thorough and consistent. Yes it might be awful sometimes but if you go often enough and really look you’ll find the goods!

I love thrifting when I‘m having trouble finding stuff on clearance, which has been the case lately. the places I went to get these are: Goodwill, Plato’s Closet, and Simply Chic. being able to diy/find accessories for these and styling outfits around them will be sm fun 😁

op shopping complex in point clare on the central coast!!!! incredible thrifting, plus a really lovely cafe that has great live jazz every once in a while. a friend volunteers there and looooves it. it might b a bit of a trek 4 u, but i promise the train ride is lovely!!! otherwise u could probably just wander into a lifeline or red cross & ask whether they need anyone. i’m under the impression that those kinda places r always a little in need of more people

Saw them in Dublin the other day. Seeing them in London on Friday. Amazing band. They play with their backs to the crowd yet I managed to be side of stage so I didn’t even get to experience that quirk properly

Kim Deal‘s whistle tone on Oh only happens once and I hate her and love her for that. Because it’s such a tease and it leaves me yearning for more. Slint’s Britt Walford on drums. Hitting every note with such purpose, never flashy, always tasteful and complimentary.

Stay on a house boat for a short break. It will not be too comfortable I won’t lie. But it is the perfect way to be close by to activities but secluded enough and peaceful so you can recharge and relax.
