5mi hike All. Up. Hill. but i can't complain, my state is just so beautiful. also saw evil BOYS from high school (why does this keep happening to me). ended the day with playing on the playground and bruising every one of my limbs. I LOVE SUMMERTIMEEEEEEEEE

If I got nothing going on and it's nice out in the summer or early/mid fall, there's a pretty good chance I'm going on a hike.
It feels good to get tf away from a lot of the noise and bs, and to instead touch grass, take in nature, and be present with your surroundings as well as yourself. I love solo hikes but I also enjoy going with a close friend or two for some company.
And ofc I enjoy the exercise and challenge/accomplishment! It's pretty sick when you're doing a loop trail and you look back mid-hike to be like "damn I did all that!" The endorphins are flowing, I feel good, and nothing hits like a nice meal and a beer after a hike.
I'm also biased having lived close to the White Mountains my whole life lol

Went up to a beautiful mountain the other day. Hiked up part of the ridge and then realized how out of shape I amπ
. Beautiful place though, and the water was electric blue.

weekly blog post about my outdoor adventures:
went out to hammock, as one does, and was very contently enamored by my book. (Little Fish by Casey Plett, if you were curious)
overheard some trees/bushes rustling next to me and poked my head out. baby bear! five ft away from me! climbing a tree! they immediately took off, i'm sure spooked by the scary caricature head appearing out of nowhere.
and on the way down from a hike, i got to see a mama bear and her two cubs (pictured) playing in the grass and eating dandelions. So good.

going to end the night with playing little nightmares 2 and watching I Saw the TV Glow. happy pride ppl
