I had zero idea what this movie was about. I had never heard of it. Hadn't watched a trailer. Didn't know the director either. Went with my friend and his mom. The whole audience was fully engaged. Silence, gasps, applause at the credits, and we all loitered outside the theater trying to process what we just experienced.

• Cruel Intentions (1999). Wasn’t familiar with any material it was based on. Didn’t even watch the movie with Glenn Close. I had to pay attention to details a lot to know who was who because there are several characters, but I didn’t know how it was going to end at any point. Fantastic watching experience.
• Pride & Prejudice (2005). No I didn’t know anything about this, but I watched when I was a teenager. I also liked Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I didn’t think the title would be how it would actually play out.
I’m sure I’ve seen more movies that are relatively popular that I knew nothing about but these are the most memorable experiences for me.

It's one of my all time favorites, but only because I watched it with no previous knowledge of it, I didn't read the movie description, and I think going into it completely ignorant was the perfect way to watch. (I later found out that the description of the movie, had I read it, would've spoiled a big plot point that I didn't know would happen when watching.) Because of that, I don't think watching it knowing the whole movie would be as enjoyable. Even though the plot point wasn't made as a twist, it felt like one to me, and that was awesome. I've kept my review vague incase anyone wants to watch it 😉 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT READING ANY DESCRIPTIONS FIRST. don't look it up, ignore any description on the streaming service you watch it on, just let it play.

hands down one of my favorite movies. it's so simple but it's so effective, with only a handful of scary scenes and mainly focusing on the effects the events have on the characters.
