knowing yourself well enough to establish boundaries is hard enough, but maintaining them shits??? may the lord have mercy on us all. That said - life will test you and having / knowing your boundaries in place is a huge plus.

but I will recommend them because I can sleep at night knowing I stood up for myself and what I believe to be my truth , even though I wanted to Bend to someone elseās will so bad in order to not lose access to them.

āReframing boundaries as a way of holding myself accountable. Not setting boundaries with someone who knowingly may disappoint me. Instead establishing one with myself with the intention to assert my agency. This can also prevent the opportunity for me to potentially shift blame onto someone who is not responsible for my own actions.
(Note: this is NOT applicable in every instance. boundaries are important and can be enforced however necessary! this is my own personal reflection)
