Spectacular. Saw them in London at a packed and singing O2.
I’ve always loved them but for whatever reason Jarvis’ Bowieisms hadn’t fully revealed themselves to me before this evening. What a fine, incredible band they are. Generational talents, as they say. Do yourself a favor and listen to the new album (among their best) and catch them live. Jarvis is on fire. 🔥 And as of last night they have the new number one album in the UK!

Each song is just a story and Jarvis is so cool and unique and funny and charismatic and their new album has some epic bangers (spike island cheeky stone roses reference get even more excited). Saw them live recently and it sort of completed my life basically

😃I find their grandeur amazing and very refreshing. Also musically I think that they have created something new which is very rare these days. Then add in Abigail Morris’s voice and it’s an uncontrollable burst of enthusiasm. From what I read they are blowing up the pop charts across the pond. I am not a fan of pop music, and I basically refer to it as pop trash. But not this pop band. Give this album a listen !!!

"Sad songs about happy things" (the first time, as a kid, I can recall the sweet/sour combo of melodies that could make you cry attached to songs about endless, bottomless love)
I've long since lost track of how many weddings and funerals I've attended that have featured this song; suffice it to say, "a lot."
