Id rec watching both 1 and 2, but 2 specifically scared me so much that if I think about it on garbage day (I take my trash out the night before) I get PARALYZED with fear sometimes.
genre: science fiction psychological horror? fantastic casting. go in blind. one of the scariest movies i’ve ever seen in a slow inescapable terror kinda way. couldn’t look away and my stomach still drops when i think about it. (i’m generally a wimp tho so horror nerds pls don’t judge.)
my mark of a good horror movie is that i stay scared for days afterward and obsess over how upsetting it was, and barbarian had me doing that. i was at work for days afterward like ohhhhh my godddddd 😵💫
