my mark of a good horror movie is that i stay scared for days afterward and obsess over how upsetting it was, and barbarian had me doing that. i was at work for days afterward like ohhhhh my godddddd 😵‍💫

I haven’t seen any new horror movies in a while but I saw Barbarian in theaters and thought it was pretty scary. I wish they’d release it on Blu-ray :/

SOOOO EXCITED for this one!!!! It looks super creepy and fun. Barbarian is one of my favorite recent horror movies so I trust that it’ll be nothing short of amazing. I WILL be seated in the theater come opening weekend

which I had shared with friends last October and I thought I saved it somewhere in my Notes app but it’s lost in the ether :( I’m a huge horror fan and former obsessive. I’ll recommend just a few:
Tod Browning’s Freaks (1932) — watched this on TCM the morning before my like tenth birthday party and it rocked my world forever… sad and disturbing
The Others (2001) — gorgeous gothic atmospheric soooo creepy and Nicole Kidman is a vision
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) — details the last days of a troubled beautiful teenage girl named Laura Palmer… heartbreaking examination of traumatic cycles and evil forces. I would recommend that you watch the show first though 🤓
Barbarian (2022) — this goes against like everything you said you wanted but I have to put it on here because it’s so scary and expertly paced and filled me with dread but it’s also hilarious! It has to be my favorite recently released horror movie

no more beating dead horses when it comes to movies, tv shows, etc. the movie doesn't need a sequel. the show doesn't need to go on for 27 seasons. we need more stories that are written with an ending in mind from the beginning.

best thing you can do for yourself is become extremely comfortable with being alone and doing stuff by yourself. at a young age i forced myself to get comfortable with that and now it's my default state-- i LOVE doing stuff by myself. my coworker is a person who literally cannot go places by herself and i have been trying to help her get more comfortable doing things solo because it's very freeing. everyone should be happy to go do stuff by themselves, it's lovely!

i will never get over polyvore shutting down. i used it obsessively and had hundreds of outfits made on it and mine were ARTFUL not like the stuff people say they saw on wattpad with like skinny jeans and converse and shit like mine were gorgeous. and then they shut down and i wasn't able to back up any of my stuff so i lost it all. HEARTBREAKINGGGGG
