Look, I'm a little purse freak, I won't lie. But she was a dollar and I know I can teach her to love again.
Also, I'm going to Philly for 3 days in November and she'll carry my necessities without letting me over burden myself.

@SAYLOR thank you! It didn't take long, tbh, and I slathered on more conditioner today and she drank it up

Second hand/ thrifted hand bags/ purses give me so much joy. I never had colourful purses that much and thrifting purses makes so much sense it's the best. I also thrifted a purse that I never wear and now I get to give it to my friend who doesn't have any purses (which, imo, wild. lol)

imagine youre me, and for your whole life, for as long as you can remember, you've had this brown with gold hardware monogram lv suitcase that's gone with you to like, every vacation. and you got it from your grandmother (it was hers first) who you love alot, and now you're 23 and you still have this suitcase, it's actually the only one you've ever owned and you love it so much. and you go to florida to visit your grandmother, and the airline manhandles your fucking suitcase and now the zipper is all messed up, not so badly that you can't use it but definitely badly enough that it needs a repair or it Will be unusable soon. and imagine you are so so sad and woeful and lamenting your poor suitcase for like two weeks, before you go to your girlfriend's apartment and see a purse on the couch. and you're like where did you get that? and she's like, i found it on the table of stuff in this apartment building where people leave unwanted things up for grab. and its a GODDAMN BROWN WITH GOLD HARDWARE MONOGRAM LV PURSE.

for about a month since I’ve been reunited with her. it’s from the 60s or 70s and I bought it at a vintage shop in the mountains in New Mexico when I was 19 we were separated until my dear sister found it in her closet and shipped it to me with an assortment of dried chile peppers from home!!! 🌶️ beat up suede (that could obviously use a good cleaning…) with a metallic gold leather strap + interior and sassy red zippered pocket… two compartments on the inside. Less relevant to your question because I don’t need to carry much I like to keep it light! but I still wanted to share 🫶

Charlie is a literal dumpster cat. I walked to my local gas station one night and he crawled out from under their dumpster and waited outside the gas station door and then rubbed on me and let me pick him up and carry him home. He is smarter than the average orange.
Greta was snatched up by my SO outside a crack house because he knows how deeply I adore torties. She is amazing.
Leon is the sweetest big-little boy. He was dumped nearby and found his way to my yard. One of the local ferals had bitten him and it was infected, so I brought him in and he let me shave the fur around his abscess. He is baby.
Lady was also dumped but as an elder cat. She had her kittens by my back door one easter morning. After weaning she got fixed and so did the kittens. Kittens got homes and she stayed on the back porch. She now barges her way in and out of the house as it pleases her.
Fizgig was found under our propane tank. Fully feral, not weaned but her mom went MIA so we used a crab net to catch her and get her inside. Charlie adopted her as his own and she loves him and hates everyone else.

The first album that I bought was a .25 yardsale cassette of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. No case or album art. I couldn't even tell you why I chose it but I was absolutely hooked when I popped it in my tape player when I got back home.
If we're talking full price CDs from the store, my first was Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. My dad told me not to waste my money buying an album for just one song. I had to insist that there were 3 songs that I knew I liked and I wanted the album to see if there were more. There were, in fact, a couple more songs I liked but, if my memory is right, I only really listened to the first half and then really disliked the second half.
