Charlie is a literal dumpster cat. I walked to my local gas station one night and he crawled out from under their dumpster and waited outside the gas station door and then rubbed on me and let me pick him up and carry him home. He is smarter than the average orange. Greta was snatched up by my SO outside a crack house because he knows how deeply I adore torties. She is amazing. Leon is the sweetest big-little boy. He was dumped nearby and found his way to my yard. One of the local ferals had bitten him and it was infected, so I brought him in and he let me shave the fur around his abscess. He is baby. Lady was also dumped but as an elder cat. She had her kittens by my back door one easter morning. After weaning she got fixed and so did the kittens. Kittens got homes and she stayed on the back porch. She now barges her way in and out of the house as it pleases her. Fizgig was found under our propane tank. Fully feral, not weaned but her mom went MIA so we used a crab net to catch her and get her inside. Charlie adopted her as his own and she loves him and hates everyone else.

My eldest kitty Moose was rescued through a foster network I was volunteering with, he is a very good goofy boy and I love his little “antlers” on his forehead! My youngest kitty Lady Bug (the space between “Lady” and “Bug” is important as her noble title should always be addressed), is only a few months old but so brave and cuddly! Her little grinch hairs behind her ears are my fave.

binx is panther kitty charlotte is tiger kitty charlottes name evolved slowly over time charlotte > charlie > charleston chew > chewie i got them from a barn and they had intestinal parasites and binx had ringworm too. MSPCA angell helped so much 😭. if you get feral cats go straight to an animal hospital! i was lucky it all went away pretty quick after medication and they’re fine now. but they both have to take miralax with their food bc they’re full of shit 😆

I found her at a family gathering about 7-8 years ago. The previous lady who was taking care of her & a colony of feral cats moved away, leaving her without a consistent food source. She hung around me the whole day, soaking up the sun from a lawn chair while occasionally stealing some of my mac & cheese. That day I ended up taking her home, now she’s my whole world. Since then, i’ve started studying all things cat (especially feline behavior), working at animal shelters, occasionally fostering, & volunteering at other animal shelters + different pet retention services. She’s taught me so much & has given me the motivation to be better everyday. I don’t know what i’d do or be without her.

The first album that I bought was a .25 yardsale cassette of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. No case or album art. I couldn't even tell you why I chose it but I was absolutely hooked when I popped it in my tape player when I got back home. If we're talking full price CDs from the store, my first was Californication by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. My dad told me not to waste my money buying an album for just one song. I had to insist that there were 3 songs that I knew I liked and I wanted the album to see if there were more. There were, in fact, a couple more songs I liked but, if my memory is right, I only really listened to the first half and then really disliked the second half.

Look, I'm a little purse freak, I won't lie. But she was a dollar and I know I can teach her to love again. Also, I'm going to Philly for 3 days in November and she'll carry my necessities without letting me over burden myself.
