i've been getting into scouting again in the last few months, partly because sleeping outside, freezing, getting dirty and just generally not having everything i need makes me feel human again. you could go camping or just spend more time outdoors (and i mean like in actual forests and stuff, not your neighborhood or park [well who am i to judge, if that is what works for you its fine too])! reconnecting with nature always helps. oh, and definitely leave your phone at home!

even just a walk around the neighbourhood will do. seeing trees and touching grass truly are lifesavers

becoming convinced that I don’t have any mental illnesses, just a *severe* case of nature deficiency. sleeping under the stars and biking under the trees and being sweaty and muddy for two days has healed me.

Nothing like the great outdoors. When the world and the manic banality of city life really takes its toll, when GORP and OPULENCE and JAWNS leave you braindead, when you just don’t feel like yourself, the trees are there for you, silent and calm. Turn off your iPhone 12 mini, bring along the latest Sally Rooney spot, pitch a tent & listen to the bugs, baby.

it's not under 200 pages, but it's a collection of many short stories. i really enjoyed it (especially ,,Hell is the absence of god", maybe you can find that somewhere else too). the stories are all a bit philosophical
