I love to start my day quietly, I'm absolutely not a morning person haha so just making my coffee and sipping it while reading or basking in the morning sun, in silence, really helps me ground myself and come to my senses. (But I also like to put on a record if I woke up on the right side of the bed :))

It’s been discussed here and there on this platform through different recommendations before, BUT I feel that there’s an almost holy level of beauty to Sunday slow-start rituals that needs to be emphasized. Maybe you sleep in a little longer than during a harried work week, maybe you randomly wake up early and quietly steep yourself in the sunlight as it starts to filter into your favorite room in your space, perhaps a physical edition of a Sunday newspaper or periodical to thoughtfully consider (or even to just sort of stare at), slow-sipping that delicious caffeinated beverage you start each and every day with, some warm and cozy jazz or folk accenting the proceedings in the background (centering you spiritually). Treat yourself. Life can rule if you let it.

i've recently been coming out of a huuuge depressive slump, and the best thing i did for myself was to start waking up a little bit earlier for work, make myself a yummy coffee, and sit by my big window and read + think for ~20 mins. it boosts my mood soooo much throughout the day and helps me to be so much more mindful

I used to be sad when my film didn’t turn out the way I imagined, but over time I started to find some kind of beauty in failure. I think failed film really looks like a memory, a bit blurry, faded colors, like an aura reading of a past moment :) (And since it’s so expensive I might as well just appreciate the outcome each time :))

Hi !!! My first recommendation ⭐️ I recently watched Haru, a Japanese film about a woman and a men that meet and slowly fall in love through a film forum, at the beginnings of the internet. The film was very sweet and filled with nostalgia, and it’s kind of a ‘historic piece’ for its depiction of the internet at the time :) It reminds me a bit of this app, which is why I think you’ll love it !!! I lowkey miss the times when the internet was a place you could log on to and then leave.. Anyway, have a nice day ! Love 💌
