i get to brag like once a year, here are some accomplishments i achieved this sophmore year:
- 3 mile pr in cross coutnry: 16:01
- made it to cif division championships (one race away from going to state)
- varsity cross country
- special school award in cross coutnry (specifically for being a "heart" of the team, hard to explain)
- ran 800 miles just in the 2024 cross country season (just from june to mid-november; ran 1400 miles total in 2024)
- entered a youth town hall series as an ambassador with 16 other students out of 75 applicants where i got to talk to four speakers and have student led discussion on talks we got to see β got to introduce mitch albom as a speaker to my peers!
- pr-ed in everything during the track season (2-mile, mile, 800, and 4x400)
- won the committed to doing justice award with one other person in my grade (jesuit award for my school, 2 people from each grade win 5 awards, 10 recognized per grade, 40 total out of a student body of around 600)
- perfect transcipt while taking 3 ap classes, one with dual enrollment getting automatic college credit (ap seminar, ap computer science principles, and ap spanish language + culture)
- ~30 hours of total volunteering for the year (not amazing compared to last year but better than 0!)
- finally started releasing a long worked on artist project, check that out here
- made amazing relationships even in the process of moving to a new town which is happening as i type this
very happy to type this as i do not give myself enough credit, this should be good for sophmore year, right huxley?

Continuing this year's theme of combatting my lethal case of senioritis with whimsey and joy by pulling up to all my tests with a neon pink bob.
Got my Chem table in on it too, we'll definitely be bringing the element of suprise to our AP exams this May. Are we the coolest kids in school? Yes, definietly.

Im aslo in my senior year and its definitely been a wild ride. Though most if that ride was me being an overachiever and burning out midway and having to learn its okay to take it slow I don't have to achieve everything so early on.
I lucked out and was able to get an off campus apartment and not have to stay in the dorms my entire time at school, so that saved me a lot of money and really allowed me to, I think enjoy college more because i was able to do my own thing and have my own space.
I've made a lot of new friends in the last few years and some friendships I think are going to live past the convenience of being in college and same department.
I think over all it was a rough start but by the end of it here overall it was worth it and I've had a great time!

you should not be able to give a song a "score" per-say
I mean in certain cases yea but it just stigmatizes music from being listened to because one critic just didn't like it!
i think there should be a sort of sticker system:
- gold star if you loved it
- garfield sticker if it was nice
- thumbs up if it was good
- encouraging "keep trying!" sticker if it was meh
- sad face if you didn't like it
- you decide the sticker if you hated it

i open it, wait for it to load (delayed gratification), swipe the top refs, like them, check out the accounts their from, might follow, see what the people i follow are posting, search up new music or something random (all on my own accord, no algorithm, no doomscrolling) find something actually cool that i bookmark/add to a list to check out (which i do check out), either leave the app satisfied or make a silly little post and then leave the app with no urge to keep scrolling or looking, happy with my time spent
