Leisure time is important when you’re locked in. Ive found that really grinding for 1 hour then 25 minutes of extreme leising helps remind me what we do it for. Attached is a carousel of things that have really brought me joy when ifelt as tif i were sinking into cement

1. 15 minutes of cleaning, organizing, something task oriented that feels productive and you can SEE. after that timer goes off you’re DONE! Good work. 2. next, it’s outside time. Maybe you walk to get a treat, find a flower, see a nice building, smile at a stranger. This can be a quick trip if you need it to, or find a podcast or album to listen to on a longer walk. 3. Food that makes you feel good nutritionally and food that makes you feel good emotionally. Chocolate cake and an apple. carrots and hummus and twizzlers. Indiana food! Get both. 4. its so hard to even lock in in the first place but its great when u actually get in the zone bc you get so much done... just make sure to keep water and food near you and stretch 😭 ok this is also a way to say hi im still alive (went radio silent for who knows how long) (because this semester is KILLING ME) (THATS WHY I WISH I COULD JUST LOCK IN RN HELPP)

that’s such a horrible place to be stuck in… if you’re needing an analog diversion, maybe try a low effort craft? collaging has been a favorite of mine cuz i can turn off my verbal brain but it’s still stimulating enough to keep me engaged. i’ve also really enjoyed cozy/casual games on my switch cuz they’re distracting but not too hard either nothing gets me out of a funk better than talking to another human though... maybe facetime a friend to talk about nothing for a bit stretching while watching a show or listening to a podcast… wakes the body up and keeps the scary thoughts at bay
