Obviously idk what your situation is but if you don’t like where you live then move!!!!! Why not try something new? Me personally I’d rather move somewhere and hate it than never try living there at all

I grew up in a suburb in IL and definitely knew I would get out of there and move to the ā€œbig cityā€ aka Chicago asap. So, I did that, and then the person I was deeply in love with moved to Denver.
Eventually, my partner convinced me to move out of Chicago (kicking and screaming). I honestly did not love Colorado at first, but itā€˜s been 7 years it has grown on me and I’m glad I came here. However, we still aren’t sure this is where will stay permanently and always toy around with the idea of living somewhere else.
It’s fun challenging yourself to leave your comfort zone - your network of friends, family, colleagues. It’s nice to have the option of solidarity, as well. I know some people are cool with living in the same place their whole life, but I would have regrets.
The world is such a fun place - get out there and explore! See what calls to you, and lean into that. Once you make a big leap like moving away, you learn who you really are and what you’re capable of. You will meet people and have experiences along the way that you might not have by staying home.

sometimes you have to ground yourself. Get out of that superficial city you lie to yourself as you refer to it as ā€home.ā€ Leave the instagram likes and 4am parties behind and go see your family. They miss you. Go repair that relationship with your father/mother, visit your old high school - drink a beer and stargaze with your childhood friends as you reminisce on how good you had it back then. Plot. Make your plots. Come back to said wretched city ready to capitolize. Or don’t. Move to a different city - or never leave home. Don’t be afraid of comfort, don’t get too used to it either.

I lived in Massachusetts for 28 years until 1 year ago today when I moved to NYC. I was feeling stagnant and afraid that I’d be there forever if I didn’t make a change. I am happy to say it was one of the best decisions Iā€˜ve made. I don’t know if I’ll be here forever but Iā€˜ve learned more about myself in 1 year than the last 5 and that’s something I’ll always be thankful for. I’ve made new friends, reconnected with old, gotten a new job, moved apartments, and had an enumerable unforgettable memories.
If you are feeling stuck where you have always been, I recommend making a change because it will be both one of the more challenging and rewarding decisions you make.

My god everything is experienced better this way. Stop looking at guides, walkthroughs, endings explained (my least favorite), even the blurbs on the back. Such a rare opportunity in this time to go into something without knowing anything about it, yet so rewarding. To be pleasantly surprised or blown away, to have no idea what’s happening, to find that you really didn’t like it, an opinion formed on your own.. nothing is more valuable
