It’s easy to forget that interviews/trial shifts are just as much for you as the employer, to see if you might like the job.
Had a HORRIBLE interview and trial shift at a cheesemongers lol. Before they had a chance to give me a job offer (or not, who knows? and who cares! That’s for the universe to know, not me) I emailed them saying I wouldn’t be taking the role. Now give me my money !
I need a job tho. Anyone in London want to give me a job ? 😘

Is there anything more fucking soul crushing than job hunting? Endlessly putting yourself out there, weighing up whether you are good enough for a role or not, waiting for a reply that never comes… I’m at the point where I hope for rejections, they are better than no reply and usually you get some kind or reason.
I’ve never been a career person so when I finished uni I was at a complete loss. Finally found a job I love and want to make my career but it pays so poorly I can’t stay afloat and I’ll probably have to give it up.

Most underrated coming of age movie - changed my life for the better when I was a pre-teen. I watched it again recently and it’s still so good. Dunno why it’s not gayer though ?

Tarot lady once gave me this advice. what gives you energy and calm? Meditation , move ur body etc.
think of it almost as a trance like state you need to enter to create stuff
You have to prioritise the (energetic) space you are in when creating - otherwise you can just easily sink out of it and do something else. Anything else can seem more important
And when youre done, do something to end the session like go for a walk or drink a tea to come out of it

Last night I was drunkenly walking home, on the verge of some great sadness, when I saw my best friend (whom I also live with) step off a bus as I was walking past it. We walked home together and it was nice to have the best part of my day right in the last hour of it.
