It can be hard for me to do the activities that I actually want to do. I have been learning to play the guitar. In order to accomplish practicing everyday, I have been doing scales after all my meals when I can. This has become automatic that it feels weird when I can't practice, like if I am in the office. I have also been trying to stretch more, so I have a specific TV show that I put on whenever I do yoga. It isn't perfect but it gets the work done. I guess I am a little addicted to multitasking in a way. If anyone else has any other versions of this, please share!

Whenever I feel screen-bad and I know I want to do something else I do like a buffer activity to give myself time to decide what the ultimate goal is. Its helpful for me if it’s something that involves water so my phone can’t come with me and I’m really resetting my day, like doing the dishes or taking a shower. Things I like to do once I’ve amped up to it: -Tinker, found some free frames on the street and spent the afternoon painting and fixing them with whatever I had around. -Fancy errands like going to specialty shops (bakery, butcher, wine shop) then dinner becomes the project with whatever you’ve scrounged. -Be a member of something, it will guilt you into going (pool, museum, local movie theater) -just do one thing, there’s so much multi tasking asked of us and our attention, just doing one thing feels great sometimes (just eating, just drinking a hot bev, just listening to an album all the way through, just doing the dishes- I think I love doing the dishes?) I 100% feel where you’re coming from and often struggle in the same way!

* waking up early. i know this is possible i am Done starting my day so late. i want to wake up early, clear my mind, and read for 15-20 minutes (another habit i've been trying to build) * more walks. i am surrounded by a number of trails and parks i pass by daily but have not personally ventured yet * a new album every day! i love listening to new music it fills me with so much joy especially an album all the way through which i believe is the Right way to listen to new music * writing ... not entirely journaling i realize i am not consistent enough for that but noting down present thoughts lists doodles words i like in a tiny field notes ... (ex. list of things im grateful for that day, month/day/year - love the way this sweater feels on me, tweet i would like to share but can't at the time) (yes, this is all possible in the notes app but i want to shift from the notes app to field notes) * knitting!!! getting back into the groove of fiber arts for a couple of minutes every day. i think the trouble is trying to find the motivation for it but i have to remind myself the reasons why i do it to begin with: leaving something tangible behind, inspiring others, furthering my identity and interests
tentative habits list, more will be added!

even if it’s as sample as watching TV it helps my brain if I just focus on that one thing. It’s easy to get into the habit on being on your phone while something is playing so I’ve been trying to avoid that.
I feel more intentional with what I’m doing when I try not to multitask 😌

When I was trying to find my own style, I found it helpful to look at art that drew me in. What are the patterns and color combos appeal to me? I try to build my wardrobe and outfits around this thought.

It's so simple - just green tea, honey, lemon juice, & sea salt. I like the taste so much more than the mixes; it tastes kinda salty if that's also your vibe. I just dilute it with water after my runs!
