ok actually listen to the whole record. But the big song off of it is a good glimpse into the whole thing. Absolutely killer indie rock album, it’s so charmingly odd and goes through all kinds of twists and turns.

quite literally the only album I consider no-skip. It is cathartic like nothing else, perfectly tinning the feeling of scream crying in your car into 30 minutes of ethereal indie punk magic. The perfect soundtrack to breakdowns, breakups, spring evening make-outs, and foggy morning walks, it has a versatility most artists could only ever dream to achieve.
The album is bookended by it's two best tracks, with the titular opening track plunging you right into the emotional flurry of the album, and the final track, Split Me Open, gently reassuring you that despite your outcries 'nothing's gonna change'. A thoughtful listen will ride you up and down throughout, dizzying you like a 3rd set moshpit. This album makes me want to get crushed out like a moody high school punk all over again.
absolute magic, an all timer, will never go stale. MP rules OK

Upon a re-listen I remeber why I loved this record so much when it was released (and it is insane to me that it was over a decade ago!) This is probably one of the best pop records of the modern era, and regardless of your thoughts about Jack Antonoff now, this record has a lot of tracks that still sound incredible! Highlights are “Wake Me,” “Take me Away,” and the collab with Yoko Ono, but that track (as it is a reprise of the first track) is best enjoyed after listening to the whole album IMO.

I’m getting a new bed frame today, something bigger with more storage that matches my other furniture. I know I’m really an adult now because I am ECSTATIC about this development. Three cheers for Facebook Marketplace everybody.

I was 13 years old and asked for my first ever vinyl for my birthday: Doolittle by Pixies. I had spent the past year developing an obsession with this album that still stands today. You can’t beat a classic.
