recently ive been embroidering so much more and its been so good for me!! working with your hands is so lovely and soft and mindful... much better than scrolling :)
pictured below is my leavers shirt (for getting signed on my last day of high school) which i embroidered my name and some flowers on, and then a little evening project ive been doing of embroidering one flower on my jeans back pocket each night :]

i love collecting cool screenprinted patches or embroidered badges from art markets or online shops and sprucing up any item i own with them! or you can use scraps from clothes you’ve cut up previously if you wanna upcycle and not throw waste away.
it’s like a sticker in cloth form, and i can customize my belongings and give it my personality :D just take a needle and thread, and learn some basic backstitches or zigzag stitches, and handsew on some cool looking squares! you can take this project wherever you go, and it’s good to put on music or a movie and zone out ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Started with a lil embroidery of my husbands music logo for his birthday and now I’m working on longer/more intense projects. It’s also very practical. I embroidered my phone number and my cat’s names on their collars so they don’t have to deal with annoying jangly tags on their necks.

yesterday i was seized with the folk fairy urge to learn to play plastic jesus by tia blake on guitar... having never picked up a guitar before (im a drummer/ pianist) it didnt go too well but was pretty fun nonetheless :)
its a great song!
