Last night I saw the Lebanese electronic/shoegaze band Snakeskin at a show in London and they absolutely blew my mind. Heady, abrasive, beautiful stuff.

Really enjoy this audio tree session. I prefer the version of "snake" in this to the one on the album. Saw them open for Hop Along a couple years ago and made sure to take note. Wanted to see them play last year again in Boston last year but they were playing Midway cafe (a weird venue for a touring band), the ticketing website was fucked and it was sold out when we walked up. They are playing NYC this weekend at Baby's which I highly suggest but I am seeing another show :(

i saw them last week and it was mind-blowing showmanship teetering performance art. also jorge elbretch joined in on guitar which ruled. thick crazy bass & big vocals - blends 80s sounds of siouxsie and the banshees, yello, and gang of four

Incredible, overlooked singer from Montreal who made beautiful, hazy, minimal electronic torch songs in the 80s. New archival compilation just dropped and it’s INCREDIBLE.
In a parallel universe, New York Grief has soundtracked a million movie heartbreak scenes (at the very least it should have been a Wong Kar Wai needle drop)
