My parents started calling me Buggie because I had big buggy eyes as a baby apparently 😭
It morphed into buggie-boo, buggie-boodle, and plain old bug throughout the years.
My dad stopped calling me that when my parents divorced (I was a teen). My mom persists despite my best efforts when I was in college. I’ve given up and think it’s cute. I am well into my thirties lol.
