Okay but like why do I love the names Buford, Eustace, Octavius, Demetrius, Eleanor, Gwendolyn, Darcy, and yeah. That’s all I got.

gwendolyn mmm... a favorite. i'd call my daughter wendy over gwen though to go extra unqiue. shout out to juniper, anson, and soren too!!! honorable mention agatha... i think its so cute, calling a little girl aggie for short... but i don't think agatha is ready for a comeback, i'd hate for my little girl to feel sensitive about having an ugly old lady name

Love the names Eleanor, Gwendolyn, and Darcy! Would have loved to have PI back when we were choosing baby names to get some inspiration. 🤣 Our daughter’s name is Liliana - a little different than the norm but we call her Lily! Our son’s name is Harry (just Harry, nor Harold or Harrison)… which you would think is common in America but I don’t know ANYBODY younger than like 80 with this name. He is SUCH a Harry too 🤣 I know a few Henrys but no Harrys!

for a boy - elijah byrd, benjamin jay. byrd is a family name and i love love love the name elijah. jay is a mix of my dads first and my moms middle name (neither one of them have middle name first names and i think its important to honor family members that you love with middle names for a girl - juniper irene, gwendolyn (wendy) claire. okay, so the stuff i said about middle names goes out the window with juniper irene... i just think its pretty. i know juniper is kind of trendy rn but i think its so so so cute. as for gwendolyn claire... long story. i believe in names with nickname potential and i think wendy is so so cute. im a blink 182 fan and my favorite song by them is wendy clear.... wendy claire... wendy clear.... you get it. me and my mom also listen to a lot of blink together so its honoring her!!! honorable mentions: soren, anson, malcolm (mack), mitchell, nadine, winona, margaux (maggie), adrienne.... sorry, i'm insane about these things. highly recommend getting a behindthename account if you're as weird about names as me

And it’s a family name with interesting history. It might as well be a mononym. I’m the only nonfiction Lucius my community knows. I don’t need any other name.

can we abandon boring names ? I mean I don’t mind the odd ā€œJohnā€ as long as they have the required characteristics to be a ā€œJohnā€ but there’s too many of these bottom of the barrel names just littered around. Although i dont understand why certain people name their children after random (particularly abstract) nouns, who the fuck is ā€œserenityā€ , do they embody a certain sense of inner peace? Unlikely. On the topic, why does the name ā€œsavannahā€ exist? We need some more ecosystem-related names, not just this C-tier, gazelle inhabited dust bowl.

Not gonna lie, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a nice warm hug. like a real meaningful one ya know? The type you don’t want to let go it’s so comforting. Anyways, thanks Instagram reel for reminding me I’m using you to ignore deep unwanted feelings.

I wish I could speak every language to converse with everyone around the world! There’s something tantalizing about having this ability. Perhaps because deep conversations are a doorway into someoneā€˜s upbringing and people’s cultures, and there is so much joy in hearing someoneā€˜s story. In another lifetime, surely I was a polyglot enjoying company from people all around the world!
