every few summers I have this unstoppable urge to rewatch the old infinity saga movies from the era where the mcu felt consistently good. Summer 2019 flashbacks during the mcu’s peak. Like even the cringey corny one liners in the movies feel comforting and peak I don’t know how to describe it.

✖️They’re literally so goated. I watched the first last night and it’s such a strong movie. I’m so nostalgic for pre-MCU superhero movies. Practical effects, more emotional stories and a willingness to be weird and adventurous. I haven’t seen anyone turn into a liquified pile of goo in a long time. I also haven’t seen a better allegory for how it feels to be different in society. I miss superhero movies that can stand on their own. Also I have decided I’m in my Wolverine era. Changed my phone lock screen and everything

might not be exactly what you meant but it's a really cool myspace revival that kinda has its own niche community that you should check out to talk and meet people. i haven't personally seen any weirdos.
