Yesterday I watched Terminator 2. Masterpiece! Builds on top of everything that I liked about the first Terminator film. I love the CGI and I feel like it has held up really well. I love the action and the characters. Arnold Schwarzenegger is even more of a badass in this film. You can tell a lot of attention to the story and detail was put into the film.

I watched Gladiator 2 the other day. I thought it would be more of a bro movie but I actually really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen the first one, but I didn’t really need to in order to understand what was happening.

My parents saw this on opening weekend somewhere in Manhattan with no contextual knowledge about it whatsoever and described it as a very memorable experience.

Perfectly executed, believable near-future apocalyptic (which is the best genre IMO) story that’s really bleak on its premise but then also a hopeful story. Acting is great, aesthetic is great, soundtrack is great, story is great, cinematography is really great.
Above all, it has great rewatch potential and is memorable, which is my top criteria for movie recs because I can’t recommend a movie I don’t remember.

I’m not going to go into detail of the story of the film because I think it is better to watch when you don’t know the plot of the movie. This film always makes me teary-eyed when I watch it. It is an amazing melodrama made by the legendary Akira Kurosawa. It is one of the most genuinely moving films ever made in my opinion. Great acting as well!

Such an important documentary film, and I’m glad that my local Lyric Theater showed this film. It was devastating but I hope more people watch this film. Thank you to the people who worked on this film. I’m so glad this film won an Oscar! The work done in this film is great and I would love to applaud every single one of these people that made this movie.
