i feel like i’m much more likely to listen to a voice memo recording than a video, but maybe that’s just me. sometimes i like taking a concert video, especially if there’s a specific song i wanna commemorate on video, but letting your phone sit in your pocket and just record is so nice n easy. also, if you’re at a concert where you’re standing, you won’t be blocking someone’s view with your phone. i <3 the voice memo app 4ever

instead of having to reach for a pen, all I have to do is press record + having a standalone device instead of using my phone makes it easier (for me) to remember to record what I’m thinking

keep your hands off your phone at the show by making a really shitty bootleg, recall your neighbor trying to punish the block with “rock around the clock,” capture the beginning of the snow day even tho the snow won’t start until you’re asleep, but most importantly,
