i feel like i’m much more likely to listen to a voice memo recording than a video, but maybe that’s just me. sometimes i like taking a concert video, especially if there’s a specific song i wanna commemorate on video, but letting your phone sit in your pocket and just record is so nice n easy. also, if you’re at a concert where you’re standing, you won’t be blocking someone’s view with your phone. i <3 the voice memo app 4ever

instead of having to reach for a pen, all I have to do is press record + having a standalone device instead of using my phone makes it easier (for me) to remember to record what I’m thinking

lately i’ve been sending “cultural observations” to my friends (stories about people i observe on the train mostly) and it’s so much easier to get my point across in a voice memo. i love to send one immediately after something occurs and not worry about the people around me hearing
