i’ve been revisiting the music that my dad would burn onto CDs for road trips when i was little. lots of 80s/90s soft rock and college rock that has absolutely informed my music taste as an adult. this isn’t an exact science but i feel like i can make an argument for the peter gabriel dad to clairo daughter connection.

This is my favorite song in the world. I remember what I was doing when I first heard it. I was making necklaces in my basement and I think this was in the summer of 2021.
Sometimes I feel like it hits too close to home because I never get over anything and I’m pretty sure I’ll be living in my parents house forever.
Despite that unfortunate reality, this song has yet to lose its magic. This song will always be my favorite.

Two songs that are on an album, which can be placed back to back, though I think it’s better when they're located at different points in the album. They share connecting themes, or maybe they have the same lyrics, or melodies, to tell their own little story within the story of the whole release. That shit’s cool

I love being able to use my space on the app to chronicle the music i’m listening to and connect that to thoughts and themes of life i’m feeling and want to show.
