Told in the style of an animated fairy tale but is actually very surreal with a bit of supernatural horror and is pretty psychologically haunting. Look at one of many absurd feeling posters.
'A young woman takes refuge in a strange house in the woods after escaping from a German colony in southern Chile.'
this one is a TRIP. a true feat in filmmaking - disturbed, beautiful, surreal. you must watch
this movie was interesting, but overall sucked. almost no plots reach any conclusion, there's really uncomfortable "romance" between the child main character and a disabled adult, and it's way too long for what happens.
this book was haunting and thrilling, and like many Bari Wood books, very hard to put down. I found myself physically cringing and covering my mouth out of terror several times.
