This movie is a warm blanket for me. It’s fast, pretty, and has a happy ending, which I think are perfect ingredients for a comfort film!

You can never go wrong with this movie. It has all the comfort, humor, and amazing storyline one could ask for. I can watch this movie over and over again without ever getting bored. I recommend this movie to everyone I meet, especially if they are unfamiliar of Wes Anderson’s films.
Personally my comfort film is The Darjeeling Limited, but it does get a bit tragic at the end so a safer recommendation is Fantastic Mr.Fox :)

Best Wes Anderson movie in my opinion. Perfect from story, lines, to (and of course) the cast. The most perfect of the perfect though, is the pace and rhythm of everything.

Fantastic Mr. Fox explores the tension between primal instincts and societal roles, with Mr. Fox torn between his wild nature and family responsibilities. The film delves into identity and purpose, as characters like Ash struggle with self-esteem and the desire for acceptance. Through themes of risk-taking, communication, and forgiveness, it reveals the universal human need for connection, cleverly disguised in its whimsical animal world.One of my absolute favorites.

Just going out and picking up any kind of used physical media (books, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes) makes the archivist in me happy, like I’m preserving somebody else’s story/ enjoyment of something
My personal favorite thing is VHS tapes, I’ve got a decent collection (all thrifted) and they’re usually the cheapest things offered

At my local indie cinema for a projection of the new Nosferatu, infinitely grateful I have a place like this I can go to see new stuff and incredible programming!
