finally getting around to watching this since i have a free trial this month (for Severance obviously). wholesome Schitt’s Creek type vibe where a billionaire played by Maya Rudolph starts getting to know the team running her foundation. her toxic ex-husband is played by Adam Scott cuz Apple owns him ig?? love the cast of characters (including Joel Kim Booster as her loyal assistant) and the exploration of what being filthy rich does to a person, as well as smart conversations about philanthropy vs. real societal change. Plus, Maya Rudolph wears soooo many beautiful dresses.

📺I know Amy Schumer isn’t for everyone but this show is extremely sweet and funny and poignant. I accidentally started S1 over when I meant to press play on S2 and then just watched all of S1 again bc I didn’t remember it very well. It was great and thought provoking, and I’m enjoying S2 a lot too so far. (On Hulu)

A masterclass in raunchy tv dramas….rich British and Irish people cheating on each other, fighting constantly, choosing sides, having parties, bad wigs, corporate drama, all while wearing 80s garb. Kinda reminds me of Mad Men if it were a trashier and abt a TV empire. Like all TV: best watched with a friend, roommate, etc.

after five years of grad school and subsequent job search, i can finally say i have successfully changed careers 😭 i start my new job counseling kids at a community mental health clinic on Monday. yesterday was my last shift at the grocery store that was an escape from my horrible corporate job and a sustaining force throughout grad school. it’s so bittersweet to leave the sweetest coworkers i’ve ever had and the most fun i’ve had at work. it’s immeasurably healing to quit a job for only good reasons. my coworkers got me a cake, everyone wrote notes in a card, and the goodbyes throughout the day made my heart swell. i even got to tell the good news to my favorite instacarter 🥺 after i clocked out for the last time, my friends joined me for gelato at the cafe and we strolled the store for a final time, this time as simply a loyal customer.
