1. French Toast: there is NOTHING better than some cinnamon French toast with some fresh fruit and whipped cream on top. Add some homemade syrup and you’re living the dream. Stunning. 2. Pancakes: this was a VERY close second. Blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes have my entire heart, especially with some whipped cream. Whenever I think breakfast, I think pancakes. 3. Breakfast Sandwich: this is an interesting choice at number 3, maybe controversial at times, but a breakfast sandwich (a bacon egg and cheese, hellooooo) is one of the best things that I’ve been introduced to, and I’ve met some pretty important people. This is the breakfast you gravitate towards when you have a full day ahead of you. I do believe that these are better on bagels than croissants, and English muffins are a whole other story- get that shit out of here. 4. Waffles: I know you all expected waffles to be much higher, but in my heart of hearts there is no spot more fitting than fourth place. When the waffles are good, they are GOOD, like first place good. When they are bad, okay they are still pretty good, but idk stop pressuring me they are at fourth place and you’re just going to have to deal with that. However if there was a bonus point section they would win for the fact that you can fill the pockets up with syrup! 5. Omelette: little fun fact about me is that I can only cook breakfast food, and an omelette pan to me is a paint brush in the hands of Monet. I love omelettes and I think they are such a great combination of so many yummy ingredients. Honestly though, 99% of omelettes made by other people kinda suck to me, and for that reason they must go at #5 6. Pastry: a fresh pastry in the morning with an iced latte really encapsulates the feeling I get in the summer on vacation. There are so many types of pastries available: croissants, macarons, muffins, cookies, scones, cinnamon rolls, quiches- I could go on all day. Whenever I’m looking for a light breakfast, this is always the move. 7. Smoothie Bowl: I actually love these so much, and anytime I can get my grubby little hands on a smoothie bowl I will do so. The reasons these are placed at #7 are twofold. 1) they always include banana in the base, which overpowers the whole thing, and when you ask if they can make it without banana, 99% of the time they scoff at you and reject your smoothie bowl dreams, to the point where you consider lying and saying you’re allergic to banana just to see what happens. 2) I’m a slow eater, and by the time that I can even think of finishing my bowl, the whole thing has been melted down to resemble a child’s popsicle on a Fourth of July afternoon. When these are done right though my heart is full. 8. Cereal: a true classic. I am one of the few adults who still appreciates a bowl of cereal. Saturday morning after a night out- cereal and cartoons like the good old days, need I say any more? 9. Avocado Toast: I don’t know how it took me so long to mention this considering this is what I eat every single morning, but those millennials realllyyyy knew what they were talking about with this one, absolutely no notes. 10. Eggs and bacon: I totally get why this is a thing, and nobody appreciates a classic diner breakfast more than I do. But sometimes you’re eating eggs and everything is great, and then you think about it for a LITTLE too long and then you look down and go, bro am I eating EGGS? Because of this I need to inhale my eggs before this thought occurs to me, and that feels like enough stress to put this at 10. 11. Iced coffee, empty stomach: if you want to feel anxious, hungover, and ill, this is the breakfast for you. Despite this glowing review I also do this for breakfast most days. 12. Oatmeal or Overnight Oats: I don’t get this one I’m sorry. If I wanted to feel like a baby bird whose mother had just chewed my food for me, I would go for this. Otherwise it’s a hard sell. Honorable mentions that I’m too drained to write about: granola bar, yogurt, porridge

I’m talkin‘ cold cuts of meat, sliced cheese, fresh baked bread straight up (no butter), a piece of fruit. Maybe some yogurt. Thats it. Could do a croissant and an espresso of course if you’re in a rush. No eggs, no bacon, no sausage, no “toast,” no syrup and shit. No acai bowls. No omelette. No waffles. Just the most simple, satisfying breakfast you’ve ever had. It’s all you need. The key here though is to have amazing beautiful freshly baked bread. *European breakfasts should be distinguished from British breakfasts. Nah, we don’t fw that. I’m talking continental only.

I love having my breakfasts like grazing boards... an over-easy egg, sliced avocado, fruit assortment, sausage, toast with hollandaise sauce, a yogurt with granola.. don't forget a delicious warm beverage Breakfast should be extended as long as possible

i always had issue eating sweet and heavy things early in the morning bc they made me feel so sick and i basically had to force it down. i’ve said it here before but i love quesadillas in the morning bc they’re fairly quick yet so filling and give you so much energy. i also make baked pita “pizzas” w olive oil, feta, spinach, roasted peppers
honestly whatever i have in the fridge. i really love a good egg and french fry moment when im feeling lazy :) or leftover rice and beans. i always pair anything i eat with a hot tea or some kombucha for easy digestion.

1. Pro/Con list: Oooo baby i LOVE a pro/con list they are the indecisive person’s wet dream of a list!! No flaws! 2. Packing list: Oh yes let me gather a bunch of items to bring with me on my next adventure! Am I moving? Am I going on vacation? I feel like a video game character going through my inventory. I love packing lists. 3. Grocery list: Exciting bc of food, sad bc it requires food money. Also calls me out just a LITTLE BIT too much like it’s embarrassing to have to go shopping again a week later because I ate all 15 granola bars I bought. 4. To-Do list: Arggggghhhhhh I don’t want to do tasks I want to go frolic in a meadow or shampoo a cow or something. Writing down that I need to do laundry AGAIN and fill out my taxes is just accepting that I must accomplish said tasks. We are meant for more than this. 5. Bucket list: Oh you want me to list everything I want to do before I die? What if I want to do everything? Why would I waste time writing down things I might or might not accomplish when I could just do the things? Not helpful.

According to The American Farm Bureau Federation on March 4, 2025 the national price for a dozen eggs was $8.15/dozen. Here is a list of things that you could buy instead, and let me say, they are much more fun 1. Rotisserie chicken 2. Thirty two quarters (yes this is worth $8 but you could be 64% done with collecting a quarter from every state and that is way cooler than eggs) 3. 12 little tank tops on SHEIN (does not account for the moral costs which are way higher) 4. My love (currently priced at $5 dm me for my Venmo) 5. Six iTunes songs priced at $1.29 6. Eight rubber ducks from my local rubber duck claw machine game (prize guaranteed every time!) 7. Two months of Hulu with ads when you’re a new member and sign on for $2.99/4 months (but then you have to call two months in and speak to a man named Tod about how you need to cancel and cannot pay for the last two months because your Hulu budget comes entirely from the money you saved when you skipped that carton of eggs at the store one time and how you got Hulu as a last resort to save your marriage since you and your husband don’t spend any time together but he always talked about how he wanted to watch “Only Murders In The Building” and after getting Hulu you finally had a shared interest and during commercials you would make out like when you were teenagers in love, you know- before he got you pregnant and your dreams of going to university and having a career went out the window to raise kids that never say thank you or ask how your day is going- and how your marriage has never been better since you’ve gotten Hulu, but you are spending too much money on little Timmy’s soccer uniforms and Susie’s ballet classes that this $8.15 you saved is all you can spare for luxuries like Hulu and how you wish you had just bought the goddamn carton of eggs because then you would’ve never remembered what it was like when you and your husband got along and you wouldn‘t have to miss a show that you never even paid attention to or cared about 8. Iced latte :)
