RECORD STORES

Was out and about today and decided to check out my local record shop. Never have I walked into a place with such a strong vibe. The two workers were talking about percussion quality on a specific album while I was thumbing through countless shelves of vinyls. When I asked one of them for recommendations, they asked what I listened to and gave me a few suggestions based off of that. Super cool, great conversations. I'm new to this hobby, but damn is it cool thusfar

it's always warm and inviting and the owners/people working the till are always happy to speak to you about life and the music they've got and love. i went to pure vinyl in brixton today, they let you play the records that are already opened. the lady who runs it chatted with me for a bit and gave me an album recommendation for all things reggae and promised to give me more songs once i had listened. she also gave me advice on buying sound systems. plus they have an open decks thing on thursdays were people can come in with their own music and play. just an all round cool place.
