generally recommending this for those everyday moments when you just need to sit back on a mid-summer afternoon and are desperate for something to drink, lingering alone at a small lakeside park and anticipating your senior year of high school, lonely after your day camp counselor summer job ended for the day and you have no one to hang with though normally you'd hang out with your girlfriend, the first real love of your life, but she left you, because your best friend who was gone as an exchange student came back six weeks ago and felt betrayed that you dated the girl he liked in his absence, but what could you do, she was there and he was not—there was no pledge in any direction—what started with you taking a female friend to movie became also going to Taco Bell, then a bookstore, then another dinner, nine hours together, and you'd discovered something amazing, a gorgeous four months of delight and affection but now she was confused, uncertain, and you were feeling insecure about this new instability that your best buddy had created by returning and your insecurity and grasping pushed her away and she linked up with him, just for a week, but it ruined things for the two of you, and you had no one laugh with, there you were alone, shivering even though it was warm and sunny, chilly with unease and in moments like those a can of mountain dew will really hit the spot — recommended! -- thanks to @CORDUROY for the inspiration!

Hello lovely people, this is not a recommendation in regular sense, but more so an excuse to ramble about sparkling water. — I don’t like sparkling water. Yet here I am, with a shiny green can of Lime LaCroix perched on a feminist poetry book beside me. “Why?” You ask. Because everyone in my family drinks it, and I on the rare occasion I cannot be bothered to fill up a glass, if nothing else graces the fridge, a sparkling water is what I’ll take. — I confess, I actually am a fan of many flavors of Waterloo. I don’t drink or like soda much, but it reminds me the most of a soda, it tastes the least like the spicy medicinal whizz that is LaCroix. Bubly is somewhere in the middle, the carbonation levels are alright, but the flavors are here and there. Bonus points for the pronunciation of the name though. I got sidetracked, but my story continues. I drank at least one every day or two, which (paired with a brief year-long stint in North Africa) led to the unfortunate accident of my family being convinced I enjoyed bubbly beverages large and small. So for my birthday, a sparkling water machine it was. — Now, here I am with this device. A soda stream capable of (what seems to me) industrial level carbonation. Do I love carbonated beverages? Not quite. Will I become a connoisseur just for the bit of it? Absolutely. Sprinkle recommendations for things I should bubble in the comments and report back I will. See you again soon lovely people.

you may enjoy it in a glass. or perhaps a disposable cup. sometimes, even greedily slurped out of your cupped hands. but cold seltzer out of an aluminum can just hits different. dunno what it is about it but i can feel the bubbles bouncing around my intestinal tract in a sort of glorious carbonated rapture
