Truly my avant-garde film goat. I recommend all her films. But if you were to only watch two short ones I would suggest âMeshes of the Afternoonâ and âAt Landâ. Overall her body of work and her story is worth looking into.

sheâs been my favorite mubi discovery and I ate up all her short films. just cool experimental animation stuff, some heavier than others. âAsparagusâ and âJoy Streetâ are my favorites. I think âAsparagusâ is the only one streaming right now but a lot of her stuff comes back into the rotation.

This movie took me a little bit to get into, but Iâm chalking that up to its less than ideal English dub, therefore I suggest you watch it in the original Japanese version with subtitles. Very visually beautiful movie with a very creative concept, itâs made by the same creators of Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers just so you know what to expect.Â

I was a hardcore Yerba mate hater until I tried the Guayaki âEnlighten Mintâ flavour. I still think the majority of Yerba mate is gross but I will continue to drink them in massive quantities.Â
