As someone on the spectrum, I ask that you learn about autism and its effects on a person living with it. And I don’t mean reading about it on Wikipedia, I mean reading about people’s lived experience.
“If you meet someone with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.“
At the very least, know that not everyone is “a little bit autistic” and every autistic person’s experience is unique. So you’ll never really understand it completely, but you could learn to support someone in your life who has it.
