The desk I work from and make all my music at is technically our dining room, and is 3 feet from the couch and 6 feet from the kitchen, but we’re fortunate to have amazing views like this.
It smelled amazing at this moment too, so we took the dog for a walk.

The sky was wild yesterday afternoon, with fast-moving soft clouds sailing across the big blue Midwestern expanse. I was downtown for an appointment and feeling especially romantic and a little bit wistful. Sometimes, you just have to look up. Here I am, in a valley created by glass and steel, my own urban Grand Canyon framing the sky.

So much about modern society is absolutely depressing, so it's nice to embrace the simple pleasures of this era when possible.
Not too long ago, the human mind would have been absolutely blown by this experience.

As someone on the spectrum, I ask that you learn about autism and its effects on a person living with it. And I don’t mean reading about it on Wikipedia, I mean reading about people’s lived experience.
“If you meet someone with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.“
At the very least, know that not everyone is “a little bit autistic” and every autistic person’s experience is unique. So you’ll never really understand it completely, but you could learn to support someone in your life who has it.
