punk rock music is so unique to its environment. there’s a need for deep personal expression within the genre, and that’s why it’s usually so extremely relatable. so local punk rock bands always feel so real and personal vs only listening to international bands. one of my local favourites (johannesburg, south africa) is club valley. they‘re kind of a mix of different genres. like a blend of punk rock, alternative, and indie. I love going to their shows.
