pulling cash out from the ATM instead of using your card when you are out shopping/out with friends. that way whatever you have taken out is the amount you can spend that day. been doing this for years and helps me put a limit on my spending

🧾I’m up in my bank account every week writing every transaction out in a spreadsheet and I’ve never been better with money in my whole life. Also helped me notice asap when a whole mess of fraudulent transactions slipped in while I was occupied moving and otherwise wouldn’t have seen them for a while. It’s absolutely more effective than a Mint budget tracker because you have to confront EVERY purchase and contemplate what actually has value to you.

💰currently being a bit more financially responsible and finding that the only way for me to stay on top of things is to know my daily budget and actually write it down and see the numbers with my own eyes, because numbers don't mean shit to me otherwise

🕶I've posted about this once before and will post about it again, I'm sure. One of the things that I have noticed since getting letterboxed last year is how afraid people are to admit they like something. that new animated k-pop movie on netflix made me notice this again when three of the people that I have on there prefaced their reviews with a variant of "i consumed this ironically, but it was actually kind of good..."
...LAME... and a little bit pathetic to see tbh.
We really need to remember that you only live once. just fucking enjoy the stuff you like, and stop asking the world for permission and acceptance to do so! being so afraid of what others will think when you post a review under a kid's movie is more cringe than admitting you like a kid's movie.
