it’s not as hard as it seems, especially if you find an easy dough recipe. i use one that’s just flour, greek yogurt, and seasonings. not nearly as fussy as a traditional pizza dough and it still tastes bangin’ this one's got caramelized onions, ricotta, prosciutto, and sweet italian sausage :)

really good way of getting rid of lots of tasty groceries before they go bad :) Dramatis Personae: Active Dry Yeast, sugar, flour, salt, (optional basil/garlic), olive oil, pizza sauce, shredded cheese of choice (I like mozzarella), warm water, toppings of choice. I like to do chicken, sliced onions/bell peppers, pineapple, ham, spinach, whatever I have on hand Now, the process: —> get a large bowl, combine a half cup of sugar, 1 packet or 2 Tbsp of yeast, pinch of salt, and 1 cup of flour and mix it up good.  Add the basil and/or garlic here if you Have them —> Add 1 Tbsp olive oil and 2/3 cups lukewarm water, mix it up til it’s batter-y —> gradually add 1 more cup of flour, pushing it in with your hands so its a consistent consistency —> if that doesn’t make it doughy, add more flour til it’s doughy and you can make a ball out of it that sort of keeps its shape when you set it down —>  put another Tbsp olive oil in the bowl, covering the sides and the Ball, then cover with a wet towel or Saran wrap, and put it someplace warm to rise for a half hour —> I usually use this time to preheat the oven to 425 and chop fruits and veggies/dice ham, and clean off a space to roll out the crust —> once your dough is risen, punch it down a couple times in the bowl to get the air out. It should become a really satisfying elastic texture —> sprinkle some flour in the flat surface you prepared, and roll out the dough (with a pin if possible, I just use my hands though) until it’s the shape of your pan. Oh yeah line your Baking sheet pan with paper or it’s more likely to burn —> lay your crust down on the sheet and poke holes with a fork (VERY IMPORTANT if you don’t want the crust to be uber thick!), then use a spoon to cover the crust in a layer of olive oil, then a layer of pizza sauce —> be liberal with the pizza sauce, make sure to get the edges. If you leave even a little crust at the edges, it’ll rise to huge size!! if you really really want that, put some copious garlic on there so you’re not left with a blank space babe! —> furnish with cheese and toppings and stick it in the oven for 10-20 minutes, it’ll take longer if you have lots of toppings —> in particular, I’d you’re putting on fresh veggies and fruit it’ll cooo faster and more evenly if you push em towards the edges. The center can take AGES otherwise and might burn the edges  —> Remove from oven and enjoy! DM me a picture if you make this plsssss

I’ve been talking about hanging up these things for nearly a year and yesterday I was struck with the realization that I can just DO it. So I did and it’s been making me so happy every time I walk in the room. Just do the thing. Hang the photo, rearrange the furniture, paint the accent wall. You can always change it back (but you probably won’t even want to).

🚙 Drive to a nearby(ish) town you've never been to and visit a local business. 🎨 Use stuff you already have at home to make intentionally bad art (ex. a painting, collage, or even a poem). 🏛️ I bet there's something in your town/city that you've been meaning to do (like a museum or tourist attraction you've never been to or maybe a new coffee shop). Go visit it with a friend you've been wanting to spend more time with. Variety is so important to the experience of life. Would love to know if you pick one of these and do it! :)
